- Adam and Eve lived in the perfect Garden of Eden. They were surrounded by the glorious creation of God. Then the devil in the form of a snake tempted them to disobey...and they did. They felt scared, ashamed, sad, and lonely for the first time. God had consequences for their sins - work became hard, labor would be painful. God also had consequences for the devil. The Son of God would defeat him. That is the greatest promise we could ever hear! God loved us so much that he would not let us die forever. He saved us from our sins by defeating the devil. We know we have life ever-lasting through Jesus!
- The Progression Party is this Wednesday! This is our first-quarter parent check-in so attendance is strongly encouraged. Everyone, whole families, is invited to come for treats provided, information on our growth and development, and time for questions and viewing the classroom. Childcare is provided during the informational meeting portion of the night. Please RSVP via Text or email so that I do not forget! When talking to me, I have the opportunity to forget to write it down! Please reach out if you have any questions!
- This week learned that our brains house our feelings. All of our feelings are ok! Our actions need to be ok too. Check out the parent videos that will help you understand what we are learning in our Thrive Time! August Thrive Video September Thrive Video I recognize that they are a little bit longer, but they are so, so good! We will take a look at clips of these at the Progression Party...come and join us!
- We continues learning our song for the All School Sing on September 14. See above for the splits. All students are invited to attend and sing with us. Children will sit with their families and come to the front when invited. Here is a link to the song that we will sing. The 3K and 4K students will learn the refrain which is the very first verse of the song. It repeats two more times throughout the song. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Otherwise, practice away!
- Make sure to check out your Digest from our Kaymbu! The pictures give you a glimpse into our classroom and your child's learning! This digest arrives via EMAIL. Please be sure to check there!
- As we begin a new school year, a few reminders:
- Don't forget to sign your child in every day at the stand by the door.
- Keep practicing independence at home! We put our gym shoes on for the first time, and it is HARD! Practice putting on shoes and SOCKS by themselves.
- Ask questions! We are here to help. No silly questions!
- Each year Emanuel supports a mission project. This year is no different. A mission envelope will be sent home at the beginning of the week. If you choose to support the mission project, please send the envelope back in your child's folder. Mr. Fuerstenau will include all of the mission information in his update! Make sure to check it out!
- As I plan ahead, I am in search of any parents, family, or friends who might be a police officer or fire fighter. We will study safety in the month of October and would love to have special people come to read to us or visit on the playground. If you are or know one of these special people, please let Mrs. D know via fast direct, text, or in person.
