Is your family facing a financial hardship that will impact the upcoming Christmas season? If you are an Emanuel school or Church family that could use a little extra help with groceries or Christmas gifts, please reach out to the Emanuel office regarding the Adopt-a-Family program. Paper applications can be picked up in the Emanuel office or you can complete the online application by going to https://forms.gle/gDbKfoifB6aXhmCfA . Calls and applications are confidential. Applications must be submitted by December 15th.   If you are interested in supporting Emanuel’s Adopt a Family program, please call the Emanuel office. Come! Join us to celebrate the birth of our Savior! Christmas JAM! is a morning centered around Jesus' birth coupled with snacks, crafts, songs, and play! All children under age five are invited to bring their caregivers and siblings. Invite your cousins, friends, and neighbors! Come for it all or part. We pray that this is a time to center our hearts and minds on Jesus!

As you think about Christmas gift-giving and shopping, don't forget that you can earn money towards tuition when you make purchases through Scrip. If you haven't heard about Scrip, make sure you stop in the school office for more information. Scrip cards can be purchased online or in the school office. SCRIP is as easy as purchasing a gift card! Buy gift cards through the SCRIP program on purchases you already make (like gas, groceries, restaurants & Christmas gifts) and a portion of that purchase can go towards your child's school tuition fees.  Don't forget: 📌SCRIP cards are used just like cash and can be combined with coupons and sales. 📌Tuition credit may go to a future Emanuel or FVL student. 📌No student? No problem! Your purchases can still benefit the Tuition Assistance Program!  📌 All Christmas orders must be placed by December 9th.

 It is Tiger Cub Care sign-up time again!  Please enter all care needed for the weeks of 11/28-12/9/2022.  Remember that basketball and cheerleading are in full swing.  Games begin on 11/30.  Please consider these things when signing up for care.  Children need to be supervised before and after practices if not picked up from school. We invite you to join us for worship this weekend as we consider the theme "The Last Day." Certain days mean different things to different people. That will be most true on the Last Day. On his calendar, God has written in ink the day when Jesus will return to “judge the living and the dead” (Apostles’ Creed). In the final weeks of the church year, it is natural for us to think about that Last Day and what it means. Join us as we consider the comfort God has for us about what will happen on the day when Christ returns. We will also welcome Grades 2-4 from our school to sing at the Sunday services. Kwik Trip has updated its scrip offerings.  You may now purchase Kwik Trip fuel-only cards at 5% back or Kwik Trip grocery-only cards at 15% back!   It's not too early to think about Christmas gifts, and scrip is an excellent choice.  There are so many options to choose from.  Please stop in the office or call to order.  All Christmas orders must be placed by December 9th.

We believe in “the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints” (Apostles’ Creed). All with saving faith in Jesus as their Savior are holy. Next week, we thank God for those members of the communion of saints who have gone before us and now enjoy everlasting life. We feebly struggle, just as they once did. But now, thanks to Christ, they in glory shine. Their example encourages us as we patiently wait to join them. Worship opportunities:  Saturday at 5:15 pm, Sunday at 8 & 10:30 am, or Monday at 6:30 pm. 

On November 16th a free vision screening by the New London Lions Club will be offered to Emanuel students. The screening takes about a second and it consists of an instant electronic scan of your child's eyes to determine the presence of six eye disorders. If you would like your child to have this free vision screening, please return the consent form to the school by November 3rd . The consent form was previously sent home with all students, but if you would like another they are available in the school office or you can request an additional form be sent home with your child.  If you have any questions about the vision screening, please contact the school office.
