  • "GOD'S ALMIGHTY POWER!"  We made muscles and chanted these words all week as we pondered how God made the whole world.  We can't fathom how this happened!  By faith, we believe.  We are reminded of God's love for us every time we look around our world.  He made the world for us because he loves us so much!
  • We are busy learning in all areas!  Here are some of the Key Developmental Indicators that we have focused on: planning, reflection, emotions, community, building relationships, cooperative play, gross motor skills, speaking, reading, writing, spatial awareness, art, music, and pretend play.  There are many more!  These are the ones we chose to focus on!  As you can see, our days are full of learning!
  • We began learning our song for the All School Sing on September 14.  See above for the splits.  All students are invited to attend and sing with us.  Children will sit with their families and come to the front when invited.  Here is a link to the song that we will sing.  The 3K and 4K students will learn the refrain which is the very first verse of the song.  It repeats two more times throughout the song.  Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.  Otherwise, practice away!
  • We have music class twice a week.  We warm up our voices, play a recall song game, dance to music, play an instrument, and sing a story.  This week we danced to my favorite scarf dance song, "I Really Love to Dance" by Laurie Berkner.  Click in and see if you can resist dancing!
  • Today you will also receive a new message after 4:00pm.  This message  comes from our progression tracking tool we use, Kaymbu(COR Advantage).  This week you will view pictures of our activities.  This will allow you to strike up conversations about the things your child is learning.  Next week, we will begin tagging the skills that the children are honing in the pictures.  When you view the pictures, please ignore the crazy teacher dancing to her favorite scarf song! :)
  • As we begin a new school year, a few reminders:
    • Don't forget to sign your child in every day at the stand by the door.
    • Keep practicing independence at home!  We will be putting gym shoes on for the first time, and it is HARD!  Practice putting on shoes and SOCKS by themselves.
    • Ask questions!  We are here to help.  No silly questions!
  • Each year Emanuel supports a mission project.  This year is no different.  A mission envelope will be sent home at the beginning of the week.  If you choose to support the mission project, please send the envelope back in your child's folder.  Mr. Fuerstenau will include all of the mission information in his update!  Make sure to check it out!
  • As I plan ahead, I am in search of any parents, family, or friends who might be a police officer or fire fighter.  We will study safety in the month of October and would love to have special people come to read to us or visit on the playground.  If you are or know one of these special people, please let Mrs. D know via fast direct, text, or in person.
  • The Progression Party invitations came home on bright green paper! This is our first-quarter parent check-in so attendance is strongly encouraged.  Everyone, whole families, is invited to come for treats provided, information on our growth and development, and time for questions and viewing the classroom. Childcare is provided during the informational meeting portion of the night. Please RSVP via Text or email so that I do not forget! When talking to me, I have the opportunity to forget to write it down! Please reach out if you have any questions!
  • Parent Power - Inviting all parents/caregivers to:

    • explore social emotional learning through a Christian lens.

    • Support one another in parenting.

    • Discussions to help children grow in His world.

    • Learn strategies to Lead Like Jesus Leads.

    • Children 3 and older attend Sunday School, under 3 care provided.

See you on Sundays 9:15-10:00 am beginning September 14!

For our 3K and 4K students who also utilize Tiger Cub Care, hot lunch is an option.
      The lunch menu is here!
