  • Think about not being able to walk...That must have been such a huge challenge for the man in our Bible lesson this week.  His whole life he depended on someone else for his needs.  Now, he knows Jesus and what he can do for him.  He has friends who take him to Jesus.  He is so excited that Jesus will help him, and then Jesus tells him his sins are forgiven.  Do you think the man was disappointed? Confused? Expecting something else?  The Pharisees(black robes) were beyond angry that Jesus would tell the man that his sins were forgiven.  That was something only God could do, and they didn't believe that Jesus was God.  This paralyzed man believed!  Jesus then tells the man, "Your faith has healed you.  Take your mat and go home!"  The man was healed in his body which is what he was hoping for, and he was healed in his soul which he was not expecting.  Jesus healed his soul first to show the order of importance.  Our forever is much more important than our right now.  Jesus forgives our sins too!  We can rejoice that our souls are his!
  • Spirit week is the week of 2/16-20/2026!  This is a fun week of dressing up, playing fun games, and having a pep rally, all to support our A-team basketball teams!  This week we also have a coin war raising money for our mission offering.  Each classroom is working to raise the most money, dress up the most, and receive the most points to be Spirit Champs!  3K & 4K have won the trophy in the past, so let's work to get it back in our room!  Time to bring in those coins! Talk to the grandparents...they always seem eager to help with coins!  Then dress up for Spirit Week!  We get points for participation as well!
    • Monday-Pennies -Class Color Day - We are Camouflage! Wear anything and everything camouflage!
    • Tuesday-Nickels - Pajama Day - Wear your modest and school-functioning pajamas!
    • Wednesday-Dimes - USA Day - Wear red, white, and blue to support our country!
    • Thursday-Quarters - Mismatch Day - Wear anything mismatched or crazy!
    • Friday - Black and Gold Day - Pep Rally at 2:00p! EVERYONE is welcome and encouraged to come! Parents can come and stay too!
  • To end up Spirit week, we get to have a competition of our own! Track 'n' Field Night is our special night where all our current and incoming families are invited for supper.  We have sub sandwiches, chips, and water.  Families are welcome to bring a dessert or veggie.  Then we have stations in the gym that families can participate together.  After that we have a "competition" for the students and the families get to watch from the bleachers.  Supper begins at 5:30 and all things should be wrapped up by 7:00.   Please RSVP either way.  It helps me prepare the food.  We hope that you all can make it!
  • This week we read stories that helped us think about other people's situations, how they think, their culture, and their experiences.  This month we are focusing on social awareness and how other people feel.
  • Please send warm snow clothes EVERY DAY!!  Even when there isn't snow, we use them!
  • Encouraging family devotions as an important part of your day is close to my heart.  Here is a tool that makes devotions something your family can do...now just carve out 5 minutes a day to get close to Jesus!  WELS Family Devotions
