- "Jesus Loves Me This I know!" We began the year singing about Jesus' great love. He loved us so much that He died for us and will take us to heaven. We sing His praises to show our love to Him. This year we are focusing on our theme, "Lead Like Jesus Leads." Each month we will have a new way Jesus led. This month we focus on how he led with love. We see how He sacrificed for us. Then we reflect how can we sacrifice for others to show our love? We will focus on this throughout August and September.
- THANK YOU! Thank you to our parents! Without you, we could not have had such a successful first week! Please keep encouraging your children to do their best. Please keep making sure they have enough rest and nourishment. Please keep up the GREAT work! Being parents of littles is WORK, but it is the most rewarding work you will ever do!
- As we begin a new school year, a few reminders:
- Please send healthy snacks and lunches. Fruits and vegetables are great additions!
- Encourage independence - walking on our own, carrying our own things, we are big kids!
- Ask questions! We are here to help. No silly questions!
- Helpful hint - Practical clothes! Cute outfits and shoes are just that...ADORABLE! However, when we are trying to do things ourselves sometimes our clothing gets in the way! Ask yourself some questions to see if your child's clothing will help him/her be successful.
- Can they keep the shoes on their feet?
- Can they pull the bottoms down and up?
- Can they operate the buttons/snaps/zippers? Do they get stuck?
- Will his/her undergarments be covered?(Shorts under skirts/dresses are a must!)
- Can they run, jump, or sit crisscross?
- Each year Emanuel supports a mission project. This year is no different. A mission envelope will be sent home at the beginning of the week. If you choose to support the mission project, please send the envelope back in your child's folder. Mr. Fuerstenau will include all of the mission information in his update! Make sure to check it out!
- As I plan ahead, I am in search of any parents, family, or friends who might be a police officer or fire fighter. We will study safety in the month of October and would love to have special people come to read to us or visit on the playground. If you are or know one of these special people, please let Mrs. D know via fast direct, text, or in person.
It is a scheduling week! Please enter all care needed for the weeks of September 1-12. Remember, there is no school on Monday, September 1, to celebrate Labor Day!
