  • Cain and Abel were the first babies, the first family with Adam and Eve. We learned this week that from the beginning of time, family has been hard. Sin causes dysfunction and problems.  Cain became so angry with his brother, he murdered him. The children understood that murder is a sin. It was a bit harder to understand that pushing or hitting , even for a cause, are sins. We pray every day that the Lord would strengthen us so that we might do what is right. We know we will fail because we are sinful. Then, we pray for forgiveness. Jesus has done it all for us! We know we have His forgiveness and heaven awaits us!
  • This week learned that our brains house our feelings.  All of our feelings are ok!  Our actions need to be ok too.  Check out the parent videos that will help you understand what we are learning in our Thrive Time!  August Thrive Video      September Thrive Video  I recognize that they are a little bit longer, but they are so, so good!
  • You are invited to our Bible Information Class - Starting Point.  It is a class that walks you through what we are teaching your children about our amazing God here at school.  If you haven't attended, it is a time to refresh your knowledge of our Great God and learn some new things.  It will be held on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:00pm in our Community Room on campus here at Emanuel.  It will begin on September 10.  You can reach out to me if you are interested in signing up or directly to Pastor Schulz (Email: mschulz@emanuelnl text: 920-538-3617)  Feel free to reach out with any questions!
  • Thank you to those who were able to make it to our Progression Party!  It was a great night from my vantage point.  I pray it was beneficial to you as well!  If you were unable to attend, I am putting a digital version together that will come out when it is complete.
  • Each year Emanuel supports a mission project.  This year is no different.  A mission envelope will be sent home at the beginning of the week.  If you choose to support the mission project, please send the envelope back in your child's folder.  Mr. Fuerstenau will include all of the mission information in his update!  This is a great way to teach your child to give back to the Lord!  Make sure to check it out!
