- "GOD'S ALMIGHTY POWER!" We made muscles and chanted these words all week as we pondered how God made the whole world. We can't fathom how this happened! By faith, we believe. We are reminded of God's love for us every time we look around our world. He made the world for us because he loves us so much!
- We are busy learning in all areas! Here are some of the Key Developmental Indicators that we have focused on: planning, reflection, emotions, community, building relationships, cooperative play, gross motor skills, speaking, reading, writing, spatial awareness, art, music, and pretend play. There are many more! These are the ones we chose to focus on! As you can see, our days are full of learning!
- Today you will also receive a new message after 4:00pm. This message comes from our progression tracking tool we use, Kaymbu(COR Advantage). This week you will view pictures of our activities. This will allow you to strike up conversations about the things your child is learning. Next week, we will begin tagging the skills that the children are honing in the pictures.
- As we begin a new school year, a few reminders:
- Don't forget to mark your church attendance form!
- Don't forget to sign your child in every day.
- Keep practicing independence at home! With the rain on Tuesday, we put gym shoes on for the first time, and it was HARD! Practice putting on shoes and SOCKS by themselves.
- Ask questions! We are here to help. No silly questions!
- Helpful hint - Practical clothes! Cute outfits and shoes are just that...ADORABLE! However, when we are trying to do things ourselves sometimes our clothing gets in the way! Ask yourself some questions to see if your child's clothing will help him/her be successful.
- Can they keep the shoes on their feet?
- Can they pull the bottoms down and up?
- Can they operate the buttons/snaps/zippers? Do they get stuck?
- Will his/her undergarments be covered? (Shorts under skirts/dresses are a must!)
- Can they run, jump, or sit crisscross? CROCS are very difficult shoes to be successful at school. We had several children either tripping over them or taking them off as distractions.
- You are invited to our Bible Information Class - Starting Point. It is a class that walks you through what we are teaching your children about our amazing God here at school. If you haven't attended, it is a time to refresh your knowledge of our Great God and learn some new things. It will be held on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:00pm in our Community Room on campus here at Emanuel. It will begin on September 10. You can reach out to me if you are interested in signing up or directly to Pastor Schulz (Email: mschulz@emanuelnl text: 920-538-3617) Feel free to reach out with any questions!
- The Progression Party invitations came home on bright pink paper! This is our first-quarter parent check-in so attendance is strongly encouraged. Everyone, whole families, is invited to come for treats provided, information on our growth and development, and time for questions and viewing the classroom. Childcare is provided during the informational meeting portion of the night. Please RSVP via Text or email so that I do not forget! When talking to me, I have the opportunity to forget to write it down! Please reach out if you have any questions!
- Each year Emanuel supports a mission project. This year is no different. A mission envelope will be sent home at the beginning of the week. If you choose to support the mission project, please send the envelope back in your child's folder. Mr. Fuerstenau will include all of the mission information in his update! Make sure to check it out!
- For our 3K and 4K students who also utilize Tiger Cub Care, hot lunch is an option. The lunch menu is here!
