Come Perform with Us TODAY!  All students in 3P and 4K are invited to perform the Pledge of Allegiance at the basketball game tonight.  There are home games beginning at 4:30pm with the Bgirls, Agirls at 5:30pm.  After the Agirls and before the Bboys, about 6:30pm, we will go out on the gym floor and lead the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance!  Please arrive about 6:15pm and meet Mrs. D in the commons.  The children will be excused right back to you as soon as we are done!  This is an exciting time for the students to be involved with the older students in the activities we hear about all the time in daily announcements!  Before and after the game, you are invited to watch some good basketball, have some snacks or even supper at the concession stand in the commons, and visit with friends and fellow parents!  This is a fun evening to showcase our littlest Tigers!  Hoping you can all make it out!
  • Jesus showed His amazing power again this week in Jesus Time.  He helped his friends with a great catch of fish, but He did it in an amazing way!  He asked Peter to take his boat to the deep water.  Peter usually caught fish in the shallow water.  Jesus said to go in the middle of the day.  Peter usually fished early or late.  Peter thought Jesus had it all wrong.  Then Jesus showed Peter how His POWER!!  There were enough fish that the boat began to sink!  Jesus' miracle shows us His power too.  We are reminded that He is here in our lives to help us too.  When we look, we are surrounded by miracles - our children, plants and animals, but most importantly our salvation!  Jesus shows us His power every day!  Check out the video of our lesson this week!

  • This week in story time we read some more winter stories.  We compared two stories.  The children saw the cover of One Snowy Night and immediately thought of the Jan Brett story The Hat!  We read both stories and saw that there were things that were the same and were different.  Here are the read alouds.  Explore the stories together!  The Hat by Jan Brett  One Snowy Night by M. Christina Butler
  • We will have a Valentine's celebration on February 14/15.  Special treats are welcome but not expected.  We will exchange Valentine's cards on those days as well. Please only place your child's name in the "from" spot.  Leave the "to" spot empty.  This way each child can hand out their own valentine cards without needing to read!  Thank you for your help in this!  4K please bring your cards on the 14th. 3P bring on the day you have class.  Following are the amounts of cards needed to give one per friend. 4K morning - 24. 4K afternoon - 29. 3P mornings - 20. 3P afternoons - 23.

  • SPIRIT WEEK!!  It's Coming!!  The penny war will begin on Monday, February 14.  If you are able, bring in all your pennies!  All donations are given to our 3rd quarter mission offering - Central African Medical Mission.  The class with the most wins the competition!!  We also have the opportunity to show our "A Team" basketball teams support by dressing up in silly ways all week.  I STRONGLY encourage all the children to participate.  It is a fun way for the whole school to be united.
