  • "I will make you fishers of men, fishers of men!"  This week we sang of the great miracle Jesus did again!  He showed his power in a great catch of fish.  He showed his disciples and us that he can do anything, anywhere regardless of what was thought to be the best practice.  Fisherman of Jesus' day fished when it was twilight or dark and in the shallow waters.  Jesus took them out during the day to the deep water after catching nothing all night.  Then his power was on display, more fish than their boats could hold!!  Peter recognized at that moment that Jesus is GOD.  Jesus took that realization to remind Peter, they would all be fishing for men, to catch them for heaven!  May we work for Jesus, catching people for heaven!  Check out the video that helped us visualize this great miracle!
  • Emanuel has the great privilege to host this year’s Northern Wisconsin Teachers’ Conference!  When we welcome over 350 teachers onto our campus, we would love to show off our wonderful, welcoming atmosphere.  We invite our school families to volunteer to greet these teachers when they arrive.  Families (older students individually with parent approval and drop off/pick up ability) would open doors, give welcoming messages, and offer assistance and directions for the guests unfamiliar with our campus.  If you are interested in volunteering Thursday (2/13) and/or Friday (2/14) from 8:00-9:00 am, please contact Mrs. D (Fast direct or 920-407-3000 text/call). What an enjoyable way to shine Jesus’ love to others!
  • There is fantastic news to share...God is blessing Mrs. and Mr. Schuh with a BABY!!  We are so very excited for them.  Baby Schuh should arrive this summer in July.  This will bring great excitement in the classroom when we tell the students.  We will announce next week.  This allows you time to have any discussions you would like to first.  As Mrs. Schuh's belly and baby grow, we will take a look at God's amazing power in growing that baby!  If you would like to know more about how and what we will discuss, please reach out!  We pray that the baby and whole family are healthy through the whole process!
  • We began our second author study.  The morning group is studying Lucille Colandro and the "There was an Old Lady..." books.  The afternoon chose James Dean with his "Pete the Cat" books.  Each group was able to hear about the choices and then vote on their choice.  It is exciting to watch them learn how their actions can affect their future!
  • Encouraging family devotions as an important part of your day is close to my heart.  Here is a tool that makes devotions something your family can do...now just carve out 5 minutes a day to get close to Jesus!  WELS Family Devotions
