Jesus has ascended into heaven and is preparing a home for you and for me! This week we focused on Jesus' work of getting a forever home ready for us in heaven. While we wait here on earth to get to that forever home, Jesus has given us a big, big job...we are to go and tell! All year we have learned to go and tell, and now we see when Jesus gave that command. We are ready to go to our friends and neighbors and teach them the great news that we are all saved. Help your children find opportunities to share the good news of Jesus!

Our field trip is Monday! We are so excited(I don't know who is more excited, the children or the teacher!)! A bus will pick us up for departure at 8:20/12:20 and return at 10:30/2:30. Everyone who has volunteered to chaperone has been cleared with their background check unless you hear from me!Please have your child wear their gold Emanuel shirts, pants/shirts and shoes that can get dirty! If God provides us with rain, please send boots. We have plenty of inside spots on the farm so we will go no matter the weather! Parents traveling with, please come to school with your child. If you could park on quincy street, it would be much appreciated! There are many field trips that day and limited parking with the renovation. A huge thank you to Mrs. Jensen for a fantastic Try 5K! Our 4Ks are all so excited to be at Emanuel all day every day surrounded by Jesus and learning about His world!

This week we continued reading stories about farms and animals. We are discerning if the story could be real or is it make-believe. The children are doing a good job recognizing when animals talk it is make believe!
