- Jesus was on trial before Pilate. The Pharisees made up lies and told stories about Jesus in order to crucify him. They worked with a crowd to create anger and an uproar. Pilate could find no wrong in Jesus because Jesus had done NO WRONG!! The crowd was taken over by the lies of the Pharisees. Pilate ultimately approved the crucifixion because he was afraid of the crowd and the backlash. May we remember Jesus' suffering and pain each day and live our lives in thanksgiving for all He has done!
- We continued our author study of Eric Carle. We found "A Home for Hermit Crab" and "The Very Busy Spider." The children enjoyed knowing who the author was! We learned that he is a grandpa and that was very interesting to us!
- We worked very hard on our computer testing this week. Nearly all of the students completed the work needed during a group testing period. This was very exciting to me to see that our littlest learners could work in this capacity! Performing this test in a group setting saved several days! Bravo students!
- We're overjoyed to share that Jada Brauer, a 4K student in our class, has received a life-saving liver transplant and is now recovering at home. While she's making good progress, Jada remains critically immunocompromised and will need to travel to Milwaukee for appointments a few times each week. To support her family during this challenging time, we're collecting gas gift cards to help ease the financial strain of frequent trips to the hospital. If you'd like to contribute, please drop off gift cards or financial donations at the office. Please continue to pray for strength and healing for Jada.
- COME AND SEE!! All families are invited to join us for Emanuel's Fine Arts Fair on TODAY, April 19, 5:30-7:30 pm. Art projects by all the students of our school will be displayed in the gymnasium. Come and enjoy the art, and then sit down at any of the six interactive art stations to make art as a family! Due to the church renovation project and space constraints, there will not be an all-school music performance at the end of the evening this year. Families may arrive at any time and stay as long as they'd like, in the style of an open house. Some upper-grade students will perform musical solos on the stage as background music throughout the evening. We hope you'll join us for this night to celebrate the God-given talents and fine arts achievements of Emanuel's students!
