  • Think about not being able to walk...That must have been such a huge challenge for the man in our Bible lesson this week.  His whole life he depended on someone else for his needs.  Now, he knows Jesus and what he can do for him.  He has friends who take him to Jesus.  He is so excited that Jesus will help him, and then Jesus tells him his sins are forgiven.  Do you think the man was disappointed? Confused? Expecting something else?  The Pharisees(black robes) were beyond angry that Jesus would tell the man that his sins were forgiven.  That was something only God could do, and they didn't believe that Jesus was God.  This paralyzed man believed!  Jesus then tells the man, "Your faith has healed you.  Take your mat and go home!"  The man was healed in his body which is what he was hoping for, and he was healed in his soul which he was not expecting.  Jesus healed his soul first to show the order of importance.  Our forever is much more important than our right now.  Jesus forgives our sins too!  We can rejoice that our souls are his!
  • Thank you to everyone who donated food items and time!  The Lenten Supper was a huge success!  We fed nearly 300 people!  It is a great time to get together with our church family too.  Keep coming out each Wednesday.  A different group prepares the meal each week!  Please check the cart outside the classroom if you are missing a bowl or serving utensil.
  • Spirit week was super fun and had great learning built right in!  Watch for the announcement of all the winners!
