Congratulations, Avacyn and Vayda!

This morning, we had some amazing news to share! Two of our fantastic students, Avacyn from first grade and Vayda from fifth grade achieved something truly special. They were honored with prestigious awards by Amvets Post 45 Commander Armin Conradt.

Each of these remarkable students received first-place awards and checks for $50. Avacyn's award recognizes her outstanding talent in the Amvets coloring contest, which she participated in last year when she was just a kindergartener. On the other hand, Vayda's award celebrates her creativity in the Amvets poster contest, where she submitted her artwork last year as a fourth-grade student.

Here's the incredible part: Both Avacyn and Vayda not only secured first place at the local level here in New London but also clinched the top spot at the state level in their respective competitions. Their submissions have now advanced to the national level of the competition.

We couldn't be more proud of these two young talents. What an incredible display of their gifts and dedication! Congratulations to Avacyn and Vayda for using their artistic abilities in such a remarkable way!
