  • Holy week has much to learn!  We saw the special supper Jesus had with His disciples.  We learned that Jesus gave his body and blood to us with bread and wine.  Communion is an amazing blessing that offers peace to our hearts reminding us of our forgiveness through Jesus!  Then we walked on with Jesus and saw Him pray in the Garden of Gethsemene.  Jesus prayed for His Father to take away the suffering, but followed with, "Your will be done."  Jesus was willing to do what needed to be done to save us!  Thanks be to God for that!  Come and walk with Jesus at church!
  • Keep reading those minutes for the Fang reading program!  If you haven't, turn in your 3rd Fang.  #4 came home this week!
  • This week we took time in Storytime to have an author study.  We looked at books from Eric Carle.  He has written many children's stories.  We began with his bug books and then took a second week to look at animal stories!  He has written my favorite story, "The Grouchy Ladybug!"  Check it out!
  • We created bugs with toilet paper tubes, tissue paper, googly eyes, pipe cleaners!  So much imagination and recollection!  As we study Eric Carle, the children worked diligently to recreate some of the characters!  Look for them in the hallway!
  • We began saying the Lord's prayer at the end of the day.  Now that it is the 4th quarter, we will say this every day.  Try adding this to one of your prayer times throughout the day.  You will be amazed how quickly your child picks this up just through repetition!
  • We had a chapel on Wednesday with Pastor Tiefel.  He showed us the wafers and wine that we use for communion to remind us of our lesson of the Last Supper.  Communion will be served today and tomorrow in the church services.
  • Spring Book Fair – April 19th – 21st - Join us on the stage for the spring book fair Tuesday – Thursday, April 19, 20, and 21st from 9am – 4:30pm.
