  • Zacchaeus was a wee little man, a wee little man was he!  We learned about Zacchaeus, a short man who was rich because he stole from people through his job.  Jesus called Zacchaeus out of that tree and went to his house to teach him and us that he forgives sin.  Read this lesson with your child and remind them that Jesus loves them, that Jesus did everything for us to be loved by Him.  We strive to show our love to Jesus for this love by doing right and apologizing when we do wrong
  • Keep reading those minutes for the Fang reading program!  We are midway through the 3RD Fang!
  • This week we took time in Storytime to have an author study.  We looked at books from Anna Dewdney.  She writes the "Llama, llama" books.  We learned that she loved children and wanted them to learn lessons from her books!
  • We painted at the art table. We painted resurrection pictures!  PAINTS were a lot of fun, and we are framing our artwork!  Watch for them in the hallway!
  • We will begin saying the Lord's prayer at the end of the day.  Now that it is the 4th quarter, we will say this every day.  Try adding this to one of your prayer times throughout the day.  You will be amazed how quickly your child picks this up just through repetition!
  • We had a chapel on Monday with Pastor Schulz.  He was our "way"!  We followed him to the giant walk-in cooler that we all fit in!  We followed him to see a secret room under the steps on the balcony!  Then he reminded us that Jesus is our only WAY to heaven!  We will follow Jesus!
  • A big event coming up for our Emanuel family is our Accreditation Site Team visit.  This team visits to verify our self-study results and grant accreditation if successful.  This will be Monday through Wednesday, April 4-6.  Say "HI!" if you see the team around campus!
