  • Welcome to the new year - 2022!!  We begin this year learning that even in Jesus' time there was anxiety and uncertainty, just as we face today.  Jesus' parents, Mary and Joseph, were faced with the reality that the king was trying to kill their son.  Another supernatural message from the angel gave Joseph the time needed to escape the perilous situation.  I have prayed before for the Lord to send me the answer...wouldn't an angel be so helpful?!  The angel told Joseph when to leave - right now, - where to go - Egypt, - and when to return - when another message came from the angel.  We do not get those amazing messages from angels anymore, but we have the everlasting Bible with God's Word.  There He does give us His way for our lives.  Look up this lesson in the Bible - Matthew 2.
  • Re-enrollment forms - Please return these forms as soon as possible to secure your child's spot at Emanuel for next year!  These forms can be returned to the classroom in their folders.  Please be aware that our school board has approved new class size caps.  This means that when we reach the cap, I am no longer able to "make a way" to get students in.  To assure that your child will have a spot for the 2022/23 school, please return that as soon as possible as enrollment opens to new families on Tuesday.  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out any time!
  • Emanuel's Open House for new to our school families is Tuesday!  We rely on our current families for help!  Please invite family, friends, neighbors, and anyone you know that would like a Christian education for their child to our Open House.  We will give tours and answer questions from 2:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, January 11.  Have the family return the Open House Referral Card with your name on it, and you will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Scrip gift card.  We pray that we will be able to share Jesus with full classrooms of children!
  • If your child needs to be absent for a day, please use the attendance@emanuelnl.org email to communicate the absence.  You can certainly call/text/email me as well.  I also receive all of the emails to that email address as well as the office.  That email address allows for both teacher and office to be aware of the situation.
  • The Christmas DVDs are available in the office.  Please stop by at your earliest convenience to pay the $2/copy and pick them up!
  • This week we worked hard on recognizing and writing our letters from A-M.  The children worked hard on their whiteboards, and just loved erasing their work!
  • Storytime found us reading winter stories that fit in perfectly with the beautiful snow we received this week.  We learned that it is warmer in a group, and then demonstrated our learning by clustering together outside on the playground!
  • Shovels and sleds were the biggest excitement during Movement Time!  The large motor skills of pushing heavy objects are so important in muscle development.  Encouraging your children to shovel at home is beneficial to their growth and development and saves you time!😉  They were really hard workers!
