  • Food coloring and water make a great science experiment!  It is amazing to see how the color swirls and twirls and then completely mixes in.  We used this experiment to be reminded of Jesus' almighty power.  We studied His first miracle - something only God can do.  Through that experiment, we saw that Mrs. D. DOES NOT have almighty power!  We focused on the help Jesus was giving to his friends and how he showed his disciples that He is God for the first time.  His disciples marveled at His power.  We do too!  Every day we are surrounded by His power, whether in the cold outside or the warmth we are blessed with inside.  Jesus' power and glory surround us every day!
  • We had our second author study this week.  We read several Craid Smith stories.  These were much more light-hearted than last week's stories so we did a lot of giggling!  We learned that the author was born in South Africa and enjoys being funny.  Here are some of the stories we read!  The Wonky Donkey    The Dinky Donkey  With these stories, we learned about finding things that are the same and different!
  • The Christmas DVDs are available in the office.  Please stop by the office at your earliest convenience to pay the $2/copy and pick them up!
Come Perform with Us!  All students in 3P and 4K are invited to perform the Pledge of Allegiance at the basketball game on Friday, February 4.  There are home games on the 4th beginning at 4:30pm with the Bgirls, Agirls at 5:30pm.  After the Agirls and before the Bboys, about 6:30pm, we will go out on the gym floor and lead the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance!  Please arrive about 6:15pm and meet Mrs. D in the commons.  The children will be excused right back to you as soon as we are done!  This is an exciting time for the students to be involved with the older students in the activities we hear about all the time in daily announcements!  Before and after the game, you are invited to watch some good basketball, have some snacks or even supper at the concession stand in the commons, and visit with friends and fellow parents!  This is a fun evening to showcase our littlest Tigers!  Hoping you can all make it out!
