  • The baby Jesus is born! We focused on the birth of our Savior. We thought about what it might have REALLY been like in the stable.  I shared stories about what happens with animals and mangers, how it was noisy and smelly.  We usually see beautiful nativities which are great reminders of Jesus' birth.  Remembering how it really was, makes our appreciation even greater.  Our Lord lowered himself out of heaven to the troubles of this world.  He did it all for us!  Then we met the shepherds and their excitement...it reminded of ourselves and "Go, Tell, it on the Mountain!"  May we tell everyone we see about the amazing birth of our Savior!
  • The art area is a super-secret right now!  So don't ask...we are terrible secret keepers!😁
  • As we begin December, we begin a new experiment.  We have plant babies from our spider plant in cups of water.  We are observing the growth of roots and how they grow.  We will be transferring them to soil when it is time. Here is a picture of our babies!
  • Now that we are in colder weather, please send a coat, hat, mittens/gloves, boots, snow pants, and any other gear needed to stay warm every day.  We might not use it all every day, but we will use some of it all the time!
  • We are nearing our celebration of the Savior's birth.  We will celebrate the two days before Christmas break, December 20 and 21 with Christmas snacks.  You are invited to bring a special snack either day.  With many bringing snacks, please plan to bring 8-10 servings.  This ends up being plenty!  
  • Christmas Collection is going so well!  We are amazed and blessed by your generosity!  We have 179 cans of chicken noodle soup already just in our classroom and items can still arrive until the 14th!  The next step in the Stay Warm/Stay Healthy packages is DELIVERY!  We will be delivering all of these items on Monday, December 20, starting at 8:00am and again at 12:00pm, and Tuesday, December 21, starting at 8:00am.  If you are excited and able to join us, we could use more drivers!  Please reach out text, email, or call  to sign up for driving!
