Teacher Call News
On Thursday, October 28, Emanuel officially called Miss Meredith Moeller to serve as our 4th-grade teacher beginning next school year. Miss Moeller currently serves at St. Matthew in Janesville, WI. Please keep her in your prayers as she deliberates whether she can best serve God by continuing her current ministry in Janesville, or by joining us here in New London.

Ms. Sarah Jandron continues to deliberate the call extended to her to teach Kindergarten at St. Mark in Green Bay, WI. Continue to keep her in your prayers, and if you have a chance, feel free to give her your thoughts on her positive impact here at Emanuel.

Grandparents' Day
Grandparents' Day was a huge success; thank you to everyone who was involved. We hosted 225 visitors in our building and received many compliments on our program. If you have any suggestions for improving Grandparents' Day in the future, please feel free to contact Principal Bill Fuerstenau (wfuerstenau@emanuelnl.org).

1st Quarter Offering
Our 1st quarter offering project is complete. As a reminder, we were collecting chapel offerings throughout the 1st quarter to send to Military BibleSticks, which strives to put MP3 players containing the New Testament and Psalms into the hands of as many military servicemen and women as possible. Each stick costs $25; our grand total of $1644.49 will purchase nearly 66 BibleSticks for our men and women in uniform.

Pizza Fundraiser
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to assist in making pizzas on Saturday, November 6; we have over 120 people signed up! If you are one of those people, please plan to arrive no later than 7:45am. We will begin making pizzas at 8:00. Snacks and drinks will be provided while we are making pizzas, and make sure you wear something warm, as it will be chilly in the commons and gym.

Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences
If you have not signed up for a parent/teacher conference with your child's homeroom teacher yet, it is not too late. You can follow this link to the sign-up, find the teacher(s) you need on the tabs at the top of the page, and choose a day/time to meet with them. The sign-up will close at 11:59pm tonight, so don't wait too long!

Scholastic Book Fair
Our Scholastic Book Fair finished up with a profit of approximately $1500.00 for Emanuel; thank you to everyone who volunteered to make the fair happen, and to those who purchased books. Emanuel will use that money to continue updating our library offerings for your children.

5th-8th Grade Sunday Singing
All 5-8th graders are scheduled to sing in worship this Sunday, Nov. 7 at both 8:00 am and 10:30 am services. Students should meet promptly at 7:45 am in the school music room to line up. Students will sit together in the balcony during the 8:00 am serviceIn between services, 5-6th graders are encouraged to attend Sunday School, and 7-8th graders may attend adult Bible class in the church with their families. The students will also sing at the very start of the 10:30 am service and will then be immediately dismissed. This will be part of their music class grade, so if your child is unable to attend due to a prior commitment, please email Mrs. Tiefel at ktiefel@emanuelnl.org to excuse your child. We hope that all students are able to join us!

The New Hymnals are Here!
Last Friday, the 2021 new Christian Worship hymnals arrived! We are working to inventory the delivery. In the coming days, students will receive their personal copies for use at school, and in the coming weeks, the hymnals will be put into the church. We look forward to praising God with this wonderful new resource of over 600 new and familiar hymns! If your family would like to order a personal copy for home devotional use, please visit this website.
