  • Jesus Time found us learning about God parting the Red Sea!  We sat in awe of God's almighty power from the plagues to the dry path that God made for His people.  The people of Israel were surely trapped in a terrible situation with no way out on their own, but the Lord gave them a miraculous path right through the Red Sea to escape from the Egyptian army.  The Lord makes a path for us too!  It may not be as miraculous or showy, but God gives us the way.  It may be providing parents to help us grow, doctors when we are ill, or teachers and pastors to help us learn.  When we feel as though we are trapped in a no-win situation, we must remember to call upon our great God.  He will always be there, and His path will get us through.  It may not be what we plan, but His path will always be better than our path!  He will keep us strong in Him!
  • This week we focused on leaves and their colors.  We went on a leaf hunt to fill our sensory table.  Now our shapes are buried in these leaves.  We sort the shapes out with our pac man tool to strengthen our hands.
  • We began learning "The Days of the Week" song this week!  It is so exciting to see them sing and dance their learning!  Try it with this video.  It is a little longer, but it will give practice!
  • We worked hard on writing our names on our papers this week!  We will begin a more intense focus on writing our names.  We practice with a capital letter at the beginning and small letters the rest of the way.
  • Our Pizza Fundraiser is a smashing hit!  We have over 5000 pizza orders!  This is an amazing opportunity to raise funds for playground improvements.  Please if you are willing and able to volunteer for the pizza making tomorrow, Saturday, November 6, please email Mrs. Eidenberger(school@emanuelnl.org) in the office to be added to the list!  There will be much work to do, but it is oh so fun!
  • Please return your progression report card envelopes if you haven't done so already!
  • Mark your calendars-Christmas Service Practice is on December 3, Friday, from 2:00-3:00pm.  It is important that all children are in attendance for practice.  Our Christmas service is on December 5, Sunday, at 9:30am in church.  We pray that all the students will be able to proclaim the birth of their Savior, and many family and friends will attend to be witnesses of their proclamation!
Don't forget to watch the weather!  It is changing and gets quite chilly for recess.  Please be sure to send appropriate winter clothes for your child to stay warm while we go outside.  This is different for everyone, and you know your child best!  We are excited to see how God is changing our world all around us!
