  • Goliath the Giant was a huge problem for God's people.  He threatened them, degraded the one true God, and made their lives miserable.  All of God's soldiers were too afraid to fight him.  Then shows up in the battle camp, David.  David is a boy checking in on his big brothers and their earthly needs.  He hears the shouts of the giant and becomes indignant.  No one would speak about His God that way!  He chose to fight Goliath with just his slingshot and a few river pebbles.  Goliath came to battle with spear, shield, and armor.  David came trusting in the Lord.  The Lord gave David the victory by guiding that rock from his slingshot straight and strong.  David never doubted the Lord.  Oh to have faith like David!  May we trust in the Lord when we have Goliath-sized problems in our lives!
  • Glitter, sequences, ribbon, glue, markers, crayons, scissors, colored pencils...oh what fun!  The children were creating our Christmas decorations for the hallway this week.  They were so creative!  We have a TON of glitter shining for the birth of our Savior!
  • We continued our parachute work this week adding fluff balls to our work.  This was exciting to see how the balls bounce and fly.  Our teamwork improved with practice, and then we could really make them fly high in the air!
  • Here are the parts for the children.  Please watch whether it is morning, afternoon or all!  Any extra practice at home is very helpful!  Our Christmas Show and Tell
  • Now that we are in colder weather, please send a coat, hat, mittens/gloves, boots, snow pants, and any other gear needed to stay warm every day.  We might not use it all every day, but we will use some of it all the time!
  • Mark your calendars-Christmas Service Practice is on December 3, Friday, from 2:00-3:00pm.  It is important that all children are in attendance for practice.  Our Christmas service is on December 5, Sunday, at 9:30am in church.  We pray that all the students will be able to proclaim the birth of their Savior, and many family and friends will attend to be witnesses of their proclamation!
Happy Thanksgiving!  What a fantastic time to reflect on the amazing blessings the Lord has given us!  Often our list includes the things we are glad God has given us.  Pastor Tiefel reminded us in chapel that our list should also include the things that we may not be so glad God gave us.  Sometimes God gives us hard things, learning moments, or other difficulties that we do not like.  These are important to be thankful for as well because God in His great plan knows what is best for us.  Even these hard things are blessings for our lives.  Finally on the list, but should be most important, is Jesus!  Remember our great salvation won for us by Jesus and thank God for that this Thanksgiving and every day!  We are so thankful for all of you.  Partnering with you to teach your children about Jesus is an amazing blessing in our lives. Enjoy this great holiday reflecting on God's great blessings!
